Erika Olson, MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Olson is a board-certified psychiatrist and a native of the Chicago area. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, and she completed her psychiatry residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She strives to practice holistic psychiatry with the philosophy that medications can be life-changing, but are only one part of the journey to wellness.

Dr. Olson is humbled that her patients feel comfortable enough to share their joys and struggles with her on a daily basis. Her goal is to be able to provide high-quality psychiatric care to her patients with the respect and dignity that they deserve. She finds it to be a privilege to treat patients who teach her daily about perseverance and inspire her to continue to grow in her practice.

When she's not working, Dr. Olson loves hanging with family, cooking, spending time in nature, listening to Lady Gaga, catching a drag show, or dancing!

Dr Olson sees the majority of her patients through a telehealth/virtual platform, but there is availability to be seen in-person if this fits your situation better.

Conditions Treated:
Dr Olson treats a variety of conditions, including but not limited to: major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, and PTSD. Our practice is mainly focused on medication management services for psychiatric conditions. While some psychotherapy is provided during appointments, it is not a substitute for ongoing regular psychotherapy if needed. Commonly, Dr Olson will work in tandem with your therapist to develop the best plan for you. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about the ways in which we can help you. If we do not have the capability to help you, we will do our best to direct you to appropriate services.
